David Lyon began his career in 1994 as a financial analyst in the mergers-and-acquisitions department at Goldman, Sachs & Co. In 1996, Mr. Lyon joined Och-Ziff Capital Management, a hedge fund focused on risk arbitrage and event-driven equity investing. He left Och-Ziff Capital in 1997 to attend Harvard Business School, where he received an MBA in June 1999. Mr. Lyon joined The Cypress Group in January 2000. At Cypress, Mr. Lyon specializes in the media, entertainment, lodging, and leisure industries. He received a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
